Vintage 1940 California license plates 1 pair DMV/YOM program clear to register
Vintage 1940 California license plates 1 pair DMV clear for the YOM program to register plate number 9B 46 67 plates have been restored by means of stripping old paint, applied rust remover, made repairs to straighten, repair dings, dimples, creases, sanded, applied primer, applied 3 coats base, applied 2 coats clear backside, applied vinyl digits that should last the lifetime on the paint as applied throughout all weather conditions for many years to come. Some of the pictures during the restore process that had shown each step of the process had gotten lost or was deleted by mistake, the only two pictures I could find were the before picture #3 and when base coat was applied #4 & #5. The plates are not show quality and do have very minor flaws which would not show up in the pictures even with all angles and using different light as shown as pictured. My personal opinion the plates came out very nice and will present very well. I have many hours spent on this set of plates.
