They are the real thing, and they are unique and one of a kind. They were issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in October 1975 and were last registered in October 1977. Given their age, these plates are in great condition with minor paint bubbling and scratches throughout. There are some small discoloration marks on the back of the plate with stickers. However, both of these plates retain their full original glossy finish.
