Original WWII ASC Training Center Fresno California License Plate Topper

This is a rare and interesting WWII ASC Training Center, Fresno, California plate topper. I can find no other plate toppers or IDs from this ASC Center, as it was. Short lived in this function, for a year during 1944. Prior to this it was used to detain Japanese citizens who were later sent to another internment camp, as well as other functions for the war.

This topper is stencil painted on a Bakelite sheet, which is unusual and durable. I found this piece in between papers from this period in the estate of the previous owner. What role he played during the war, I'm not sure, but he was in his early 30's at that time. The colors are bright and there are no chips or cracks in the topper.
