1963 California license plates Elvis
Here's the story behind these plates. They were on, and registered to the Cadillac Limousine in the last picture.
The limo was once owned and registered to a Tom Parker in California. Better known as Elvis's manager Colonel Tom Parker. The car burnt from an interior fire that destroyed the car. I bought the car from an artist that had owned it for decades. The engine and transmission were used in another car but he kept the body because of its history. I've searched the internet for a picture of Elvis in this car and cannot find anything that I'm certain was THIS car. Colonel Tom had multiple limousines so that's understandable. I wrote a letter to the California DMV requesting a copy of the registration linked to these tags. Their reply was that they could only give a copy to the person listed on the registration. They also said that they only have digital records now and they don't go that far back. They no longer store a paper history of registrations. They car itself is no longer available.
